Our Eco Committee Session 2016/17
The Eco & Enterprise Group is made up of representatives from each class. Their role is to make the pupils of St. Paul’s aware of environmental issues. The aim is to get as many pupils involved in being kinder to the environment, to promote St. Paul’s as an ‘Eco-friendly school’ and to assist in the development of enterprising skills throughout the school.
The Eco-group meet on a regular basis and work on their ‘Action Plan’ for the year. They plan assemblies, organise competitions and campaigns and inform classes around the school how they can help the environment. They work in the School Garden and Playground including litter-picking and other improvements.
St. Paul’s Primary is very proud to have been awarded its second Green Flag and with hard worn and dedication from all we hope to achieve our third.
Enterprise is now embedded within the curriculum and the children have many opportunities to use and develop their enterprising skills in a variety of ways. Examples of this include charity fundraising, organising and participating in events and running a class business. The children are required to work collaboratively towards their common goals, giving them vital experience and preparing them for life beyond school.
This session's members are:
Rachael P7 , Sophie P7, Lauren P7, Jonathon P5
Chantelle P5 , Ben P4, Michael P3, Kyle P2 , Bailey P1
The Eco & Enterprise Group meet on a regular basis throughout the school session. Minutes from their meetings are available to download below.
