P5 have been doing some real life Problem Solving. We first did a bit of research on how the Egyptians made their infamous pyramids then calculated how we could make them ourselves. Cross Country Champs!

Bug Hotel

We have been looking and plant and animal life cycles in class and as part of our Eco focus we created a bug friendly hotel in our playground. We hope that some interesting bugs take up residence here.

We have recently been to camp and had an absolute blast! We learned many new skills including canoeing, sailing and orienteering. We really enjoyed spending time with our friends. Even although we enjoyed all the activities, sailing was a clear favorite!  We can’t wait until P7 camp now!

Vehicle of the Future

P6 have been learning about sustainability and were set the task of designing a vehicle thinking about the sustainability of the fuel and materials used as well as thinking about their audience. Some decided to present their work on a powerpoint, others chose to draw or build their vehicle.

Measuring Madness

The cylinders and pyramids have been learning how to estimate the length, height and width of items in the classroom using meters and centimeters. They were then to measure these and discuss any differences between their estimation and the actual measurement.

P6 and 7 had a visit from RBS last week to learn about how people can become a victim of fraud. They were asked to investigate a fraud case using evidence.
