Holyrood Palace Visit

World Book Day

The nursery children celebrated some of World Book Day with P5/6 .

They shared stories together, the nursery told P5/6 the story of the Gruffalo using puppets and Jenna and Idris read a story to all the nursery children.

Primary 6 have been learning about Scotland’s landscape and Scots language. They have learned some new Scots words and even had a go at reading a Burns poem out loud to the class.

They have created beautiful Scottish landscape pictures using a range of different media.

Handball Heroes!

Last week our P5s attended a handball tournament for all the schools in the Calder area. We were divided into 3 teams and most of us played 3 games each. It was a great experience being able to put our practise into real games! Bring on the next tournament!…

St John Bosco

Primary 6 worked extremely hard researching facts about St John Bosco and all that he did. They worked together to create a power point and rehearse for the assembly. Thank you to all those who made it along to see the performance.

Angles in the Outdoors

The cubes maths group have been learning about right angles. They made their own angle finder and went out into the snowy playground to see if they could find any. There were loads around as you can see from the pictures.

P6 Netball Festival

Primary 6 were involved in a netball festival before Christmas with surrounding schools. They played extremely well and worked together as a team. Well done P6.

Bending and Balancing in P6.

Primary 6 have been doing gymnastics with Mrs Stevenson this term in P.E. They have been working hard to develop their balancing skills both on the floor and on a higher surface. They have come up with some creative balances as individuals, in pairs and as a class.
